About
Classes are vinyasa, with varying flows- I offer modifications, and all levels of experience are welcome. Pranayama (breath work) and meditation are important parts of my yoga practice and I incorporate them into classes. I love to use my singing bowl at the end, and sometimes will sing in Sanskrit as well.
I offer private sessions, including personal training, yoga and/or sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls.
Certification:
Yoga Alliance RYS-200 (Sol Rio Studio)
In progress:

About Meg Ginkgo:
In college, I decided to become a personal trainer to help people connect with movement and the blissful happiness that I always feel when exercising-I grew up an athlete, loved P90X and Beach Body videos, as well as running long-distance with my marathoner mom and pumping iron with my powerlifting sister. I started taking yoga classes at my university, mostly because they were free and I was sore from all the weight lifting and running.
Long story short, I later moved to California from my native Michigan, and eventually as I searched for a new job I stumbled upon Sol Rio Studio and its amazing co-founder Mk. There, I traded classes for cleaning and found myself becoming quite passionate about yoga. I loved learning about the internal practices in addition to the asanas and quickly realized yoga was so much bigger than I ever thought -magical, even- and found myself intrigued, ready to dive in and learn more.
I later finished my teaching certificate and from there, the fire has continued burning steadily; I learn more every single day. Yoga completely changed my life, it has given me a sense of balance, internal calm (and ways to get back to it) and has helped me more than I can articulate through words. I feel such a deep love for this practice, and the people I have the pleasure of practicing with.
